I was born and raised in Starkville, Mississippi (where Mississippi State University is located) and studied Computer Science at the university, graduating back in 2017. It's such a pleasant surprise to have this story appear in my inbox and teach me something new about a place where I spent so much time. I felt suffocated by the mundanity of my home town when I lived there, and this has reminded me that there are interesting stories (of perhaps cosmic proportion!) to be discovered in even the most mundane of places.

moon tree roadtrip sounds super fun
I had never heard of the moon trees and (sorry unnamed editor) I would happily see and hear more about this.
